Everything You'll Have Covered

What is the basic foundation of science?

~ The basic foundation for science is humanity's curiosity and desire to explore the unknown. People sometimes seek to fully understand events that are often taken for granted. This leads them to ask questions and seek out answers through scientific discovery.

What scientific process do people go through to find the answers to their initial questions?

~ After an initial inquiry or question is asked, follow-up questions might also be formulated. To find the answers to these questions, people conduct research and collect data. After developing a testable hypothesis, experiments are performed that lead to discovery and, hopefully, the answers to the original questions.

What is science?

~ In general terms, science is the gathering and use of evidence to construct testable hypotheses and predictions of natural phenomena, as well as the knowledge generated by this process. Every fact related to humanity and the world we live in is part of science. Science presents all its findings systematically to aid and guide people looking to apply and expand this valuable knowledge.

Why does science have limitations?

~ There are some types of questions, ones that involve values, morality, or spiritual or supernatural phenomena, that are not testable. Therefore, they are unsuitable for scientific problem-solving. This is a natural limitation of science. However, although there are some things that science cannot know, all the facts we do know are because of science.
