Before presenting this Activity Object, students should be able to construct and analyze bar graphs. There are several Activity Objects that provide instruction in constructing and interpreting bar graphs including; "Bar Graphs and Line Graphs," "Drawing Bar Graphs," and "Interpreting Bar Graphs."
During the Activity Object, students are asked to choose three consecutive months when the carnival owner will operate his business based on the sales for each month. Consecutive means following one after another in order. Therefore, an example of three consecutive months would be June, July, and August.
